Welcome to the Rotaract Club of Lexington, KY
Rotaract is an international organization of young professionals and students that are committed to service, leadership, and professional development in their communities and abroad. Rotaract strives to encourage young professionals to address the physical and social needs of their communities and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
With the support of the local Rotary Club, Lexington, KY has recently established a Rotaract branch. We look forward to growing our membership and serving our community.
Why Should YOU Join Rotaract?
Joining Rotaract is a great way to meet new people. You’ll meet a variety of young professionals who are also just starting their careers and trying to make contacts in the business community. You’ll meet local Rotary members who are the business, civic, and community leaders of Lexington; prominent members of the community as they are invited to speak at meetings; and many other community members through service projects. Rotaract exposes you to people, events, and issues in the community you might otherwise not encounter. Rotaract provides a rare opportunity to become involved in the local, as well as global, community while enhancing your leadership skills and widening your social and professional circle.
Goals of Rotaract
- To develop professional and leadership skills;
- To emphasize respect for the rights of others, based on recognition of the worth of each individual.
- To recognize the dignity and value of all useful occupations as opportunities to serve.
- To recognize, practice, and promote ethical standards as leadership qualities and vocational
responsibilities.
-To develop knowledge and understanding of the needs, problems, and opportunities in the community
and worldwide; and
- To motivate young people for eventual membership in Rotary.
Activities
As a club we have volunteered at the HOPE Center serving lunch and dinner on several occasions. We have participated in the Bowl-a-thon benefiting Big Brother Big Sister of Lexington and Lexington’s first annual Cystic Fibrosis Walk. We have also volunteered at Thursday Night Live. While community service is a priority, we also believe in building relationships between our members. We plan to organize happy hours, corn hole tournaments, and tailgates, just to name a few events. Don’t miss out on the fun!

The Lexington Rotaract meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00p.m. at the Hunt Morgan House located at 201 N. Mill Street. WE also host a variety of special events arounds town. Meetings typically last approximately one hour.
